The location of this lodge is ideal, situated just around the corner from the main street. the rooms are spacious and comfortable, with beds that guarantee a good night's sleep. the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to make your stay memorable. the breakfast spread is delicious and varied, with fresh fruit served in small bowls. the lodge also has a fully stocked bar and offers a range of excursions to explore the natural beauty of the area.
The only downside is the lack of hippos roaming the streets, but that is out of the lodge's control.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a lodge in a tropical paradise. The staff at this lodge were exceptional, from the moment I arrived until the moment I left. They treated their guests with such care and went above and beyond to ensure everyone had a wonderful experience. The gardens at this lodge were absolutely stunning, like walking through a tropical forest. It created such a serene and tranquil atmosphere that allowed me to instantly unwind. The location of the lodge was also a major plus, centrally located and easily accessible to key areas of interest. I also enjoyed the delicious breakfast that was served each morning, providing a great start to the day.
There were a couple of downsides during my stay. In this modern era, having a reliable internet connection is important for many guests, especially for those on business trips like myself.

Loved the beautiful tropical garden with its jungle-like atmosphere. The bungalows were charming and gave a real safari vibe. The staff was friendly and always available to help with organizing boat or safari trips. The breakfast buffet was delicious and had a variety of options. Great location near restaurants and convenient to explore the area.
The glass door to the bathroom in each bungalow was frosted but not very opaque, which made some guests uncomfortable with the lack of privacy. This could easily be remedied with a curtain or blind.

We stayed at Afrique Lodge for 3 nights and had a fantastic time. The spacious rooms, beautiful garden, and helpful staff made our stay memorable. The cleanliness of the rooms and the creativity of the breakfasts were outstanding. The orchids in the garden and the inviting pool added to the overall charm of the place. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and Merle, the manager, was a wonderful host. This was truly the best holiday accommodation experience we've ever had!
Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. They were always available to help and had a wealth of knowledge about the local area and activities. the rooms were beautifully decorated with a modern African twist, and the outdoor showers were a unique touch that we really enjoyed. the breakfast options were delicious, with fresh fruit and made-to-order eggs. the lodge's location was also great, situated in a residential area that made it easy to find and close to bars and restaurants for evening entertainment. we felt like we got great value for our money and would definitely come back again.
the only thing we could think of was that the rooms were close together, but they still managed to feel private.

The rooms were beautifully decorated with African decor and had a comfortable bed and a hot shower. the breakfast served was delicious and included a variety of options such as coffee, tea, juice, fruit, cheese. the location of the hotel was very convenient as it was a short drive to restaurants, minutes away from the beach, and within an hour's reach of game reserves.
The early check-out time of 10am, which felt a bit unfriendly. we experienced a lack of hot water on the first night, although it was resolved the next morning.

Magical-modern twist on African decor. Great place to stay, top of our list! During our stay at Lodge Afrique, we were greeted by Esmarie, the manageress, who warmly welcomed us and ensured that our arrival was smooth. She even provided us with keys and a gate remote for easy access. Esmarie's wealth of knowledge about the area, excursions, and animals made our stay even better. The mixed modern African decor in the rooms added a unique and magical touch to our experience. The rooms were beautifully decorated and offered privacy for couples. We also appreciated the safe parking, delicious breakfast options, and the fully stocked bar for evening drinks. The homemade biscuits and tea selections in the room were a lovely extra touch. The fact that we could have our laundry done was also very convenient. We are grateful to Esmarie and the entire staff for making our holiday special and lovely. We wish we could have stayed forever!

We loved the outdoor BBQ area, where we had delicious grilled meals together as a family. The tours offered by the lodge were fantastic, taking us on unforgettable adventures through the beautiful surroundings. And after a day of exploring, we enjoyed relaxing at the lively bar, where we could have a refreshing drink while the kids played games. It truly felt like a home away from home.
My kids wished there was a dedicated play area for children.
